Welcome to
Arne Heath
The rhododendron may look pretty, but it’s not native to the UK and is an invasive species. We are working to remove it as it destroys the rare heath.
Arne Common is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), now rare heathland with snakes and lizards who love the sandy soils which help them warm up!
Cats Eye Bridge is where the A351 again crosses over the railway. It’s almost a tunnel!
