Welcome to

Dickers & Cow Pat Crossing

As the train travels from Swanage towards Harmans Cross it is travelling uphill, so you can hear the engine working harder.
We pass the aptly named “Cow Pat Crossing”, so called due to the cows which are grazed in the adjacent fields. These cows produce milk, which can be processed to form ice cream or butter. Alongside you can see woodlands; the Purbeck area is dotted with small woodlands, often undisturbed by humans making them ideal for wildlife to flourish. Deer are often spotted in this area, they will happily graze as the train goes past.
